LeBron James Maybach twin to be auctioned for charity

A near-identical twin of LeBron James’s personalized Mercedes-Maybach S 680 will be auctioned in New York this November. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation and its ‘I PROMISE’ programme, which supports students and families in Akron, Ohio, through initiatives involving housing, healthcare, job training, and financial literacy.

James originally designed the first vehicle through Mercedes-Benz’s MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure program, a bespoke service for high-end personalization. While James is keeping his original one-of-one model, Mercedes-Benz and James collaborated to build this second, nearly identical S 680 to raise funds for charity.

The vehicle features exclusive MANUFAKTUR light ivory non-metallic paint and a cabin upholstered in ‘Stormy Weather’ Nappa leather with porcelain contrast stitching. Notable custom details include James’s signature on the headrests, floor mats, and cushions. In a first for the Maybach brand, the traditional V12 badge has been replaced by a bespoke emblem featuring James’s personal logo and the geographic coordinates of Akron.
