LeBron James denies Embiid reports and signs $15M Polymarket deal
LeBron James is making headlines during his first preseason with the Philadelphia 76ers. James recently used social media to deny reports that he berated teammate Joel Embiid for being late to practice, stating, “He ain’t been late so stop the lies.”
Off the court, James has secured a $15 million annual endorsement deal with the prediction market platform Polymarket. This agreement is significantly higher than his projected $4 million annual salary with the 76ers. The deal focuses on promoting football content rather than basketball.
Additionally, James has been utilizing a Fanatics-branded corporate helicopter to commute between his residence in New York and Philadelphia. This aviation perk is part of his existing multiyear partnership with the sports merchandise company, allowing him to avoid heavy traffic during his transition to the Philadelphia franchise.
