LeBron James to auction custom Mercedes-Maybach for charity

NBA superstar LeBron James will auction a custom Mercedes-Maybach S 680 to benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation. The auction is scheduled for November 20 and 21, 2026, at the Javits Center in New York as part of the Retromobile New York event, hosted by Gooding & Company.

The vehicle is one of two nearly identical luxury sedans James commissioned through the Mercedes-Benz ‘MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure’ program. The car features a 6.0-liter V-12 engine producing 621 horsepower and is finished in light-ivory paint with blue Nappa leather. Personal touches include a custom crown logo replacing the traditional V12 emblem, as well as the geographic coordinates of James’s hometown, Akron, Ohio, inscribed on the center console.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the LeBron James Family Foundation to support its ‘I PROMISE’ program, which provides educational resources and support to students and families in Akron.
