LeBron James visits National Museum of Slavery in Angola

NBA star LeBron James visited the National Museum of Slavery in Luanda, Angola, during his first trip to the country. Accompanied by Tourism Minister Márcio Daniel, James explored the historical site, which serves as a vital memorial to the history of the transatlantic slave trade.

The museum is located at Morro da Cruz and occupies a complex that functioned as a commercial outpost and concentration center for enslaved people during the colonial period. The site was historically linked to slave trader Álvaro de Carvalho Matoso and served as a point of embarkation for those being transported to the Americas. James expressed his enthusiasm for the visit and praised the hospitality of the Angolan people.
