Lebu police recover two stolen poodle dogs

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Brigade (Bicrim) in Lebu successfully recovered two stolen poodle dogs following a theft reported on August 16. The investigation led officers to two women who were attempting to sell the dogs on public streets.

Upon being approached by police, the women stated they had purchased the animals from an unknown individual on the street a few days prior. They cooperated with the investigation and provided the location of a residence where the dogs were being kept. The animals were found to be in good health and were returned to their legitimate owner.

Following instructions from the Flagrancy Prosecutor's Office, the two women were cautioned and are awaiting summons from the Public Ministry. Authorities have issued a warning to the community regarding the legal risks of purchasing animals from unknown sources, noting that such actions can constitute the crime of receiving stolen goods.
