Lecce announces GEN V volunteering awards and youth call

The GEN V – Generazione Volontariato initiative in the Salento region is accepting applications for the GEN V 2026 Award and the “Le idee diventano azioni” youth call until October 31.

The GEN V 2026 Award, titled “Il volontariato che cambia le comunità,” recognizes significant volunteering experiences within the province of Lecce. There are seven award categories, including Volunteer of the Year, Association of the Year, Youth for Volunteering, School and Active Citizenship, Business for the Community, Social Innovation, and High Social Impact Project. Winners will receive a plaque, public recognition, and a symbolic prize.

The youth call, “Le idee diventano azioni – Giovani per il Bene Comune,” is open to individuals or groups aged 14 to 30. This initiative encourages young people to propose innovative solutions to improve the Salento territory, focusing on environmental issues, social inclusion, and community participation. Three contributors will receive 2,000 euros each to transform their ideas into concrete projects.
