Lecce coach Di Francesco discusses Juventus matchup and squad selection

Lecce manager Eusebio Di Francesco has addressed the upcoming home match against Juventus, emphasizing the need for courage and high levels of attention. While acknowledging Juventus's quality, Di Francesco noted that anything is possible in football and expressed a desire to play with a sense of "healthy recklessness" to satisfy the home crowd.

The coach also addressed significant squad concerns, specifically the absence of Pierotti, who is expected to be sidelined for at least a month and a half. This injury has created uncertainty in the attacking lineup, leading to a competition between Esteban, Geubbels, and Stulic for a starting position. While Gandelman is an option to cover the wing, Di Francesco noted that the player's natural characteristics are not suited for that role.

In midfield, Di Francesco intends to confirm the trio that finished the previous match against Udinese, with Kaba, Ngom, and Maleh expected to start. Regarding the opposition, the coach highlighted the attacking threats of Woltemade and Kolo Muani, noting that Lecce has worked specifically on defending the spaces they create.
