Lecce Police Issue Oral Warnings to Four Individuals
The chief of police in Lecce announced four oral warning notices to persons deemed a threat to public order. The first notice concerns a 19‑year‑old resident recently arrested for drug possession, who had previously received a similar warning as a minor. The second targets a 47‑year‑old who has a history of serious crimes and was again cited after being stopped driving with a revoked license. The third warning involves a 38‑year‑old from Otranto with prior convictions for illegal drug handling, document fraud and immigration violations, and who was found with narcotics during a 2025 arrest. The fourth notice is for a 17‑year‑old minor from Lecce accused of resisting a public officer, suspected drug use and association with offenders.
These measures are administrative actions intended to curb potentially dangerous behaviour without proceeding to formal prosecution.
