Lecce prosecutors investigate bullying of 12-year-old in Gallipoli
An investigation has been opened by the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office in Lecce regarding the repeated bullying of a 12-year-old student at a middle school in Gallipoli. The investigation, led by substitute prosecutor Maria Consolata Moschettini, is examining allegations of stalking, injury, and aggravated threats.
The victim's family reported that the harassment occurred both inside and outside the school premises, leading the student to fear returning to class. Reported incidents include intimidating phone calls, mockery, and physical assaults. One severe incident allegedly occurred on May 4, during a physical education class, where the student was reportedly struck with kicks and punches to the abdomen, sides, and legs.
Four minors—three girls and one boy—are currently under investigation. While investigators have interviewed the suspects, the minors have denied all allegations. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full context and specific responsibilities of those involved.
