Lecce School Office removes candidates from substitute rankings

The Lecce School Office has ordered the removal of ten candidates from the 2026/28 Provincial Substitute Rankings (GPS) and related school rankings. This decision follows central administration checks revealing that these individuals failed to submit applications for the recognition of foreign qualifications used to access the rankings by the required deadline.

The decree, issued on August 25, 2026, affects twelve total positions, as some candidates were listed for multiple subject areas. The exclusion applies to both the first tier of support teacher rankings and the second tier for certain subject classes. While timely applications for recognition allow for provisional inclusion, the lack of such requests resulted in definitive removal.

Separately, provincial school offices have initiated ‘Phase Zero’ regarding teaching continuity for support teachers. This digital procedure aims to confirm support teachers in the same positions they held during the 2025/2026 school year. The process involves verifying eligibility through algorithms and simulating availability before the official annual substitute appointment phase begins.
