Napoli and Lecce drive Serie A transfer activity

Italian Serie A clubs Napoli and Lecce are actively navigating the transfer market with several key defensive targets.

Napoli is working to finalize a deal for Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile. While an agreement is largely in place involving a loan fee and a buyout option, negotiations have reached a stalemate due to a disagreement over a €1 million bonus. Consequently, Napoli is monitoring Marseille defender Nayef Aguerd, who recently declined a move to Real Sociedad despite having undergone medical examinations.

Meanwhile, Lecce is managing the potential departure of defender Tiago Gabriel. The club has reportedly set a valuation of approximately €30 million for the player, attracting interest from English Premier League sides Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, as well as Benfica.
