Lecce: SUV allegedly used to strike delivery rider's bicycle

A local restaurateur in Lecce allegedly used an SUV to deliberately run over the electric bicycle of a delivery rider. The incident occurred after the rider had temporarily blocked a driveway to complete a delivery.

Valentina Pascali, regional secretary of Felsa Cisl Puglia, condemned the act, stating it goes beyond mere vandalism. She characterized the incident as an expression of arrogance and a disregard for the dignity of workers, noting that for riders, a bicycle is an essential tool for livelihood and family support.
