Lecco authorities execute measures against criminal group

Carabinieri in Lecco have executed precautionary measures against 11 individuals suspected of being part of a criminal association. The group is accused of conducting thefts at tobacco shops and slot machine halls, as well as receiving stolen goods.

The investigation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Lecco and initiated in March 2025, identified a structured organization with defined roles. The suspects, primarily of Romanian nationality, operated across the provinces of Lecco, Bergamo, Milan, and Monza.

As a result of the operation, six individuals are in custody, two are under house arrest, and three are subject to reporting requirements to the judicial police. Authorities also located a garage in the province of Bergamo used by the group to store stolen items, leading to the recovery of some of the stolen property.
