Lecco community holds funeral for Tarek Aamari following fatal accident

A large community gathered at the Islamic cultural center in Lecco on Saturday, September 12, 2029, to hold a funeral for 28-year-old Tarek Aamari. The ceremony was open to people of all faiths and nationalities to honor his memory.

Aamari, a Moroccan national residing in Brivio, died on September 5 in a single-vehicle crash in Valgreghentino. He was accompanied by his friend, 25-year-old Matteo Mamone, who had his funeral earlier in the week in Valgreghentino.

During the service, the imam recited verses from the Quran, and friends and family shared letters describing Aamari as a well-liked individual who was deeply integrated into the local community. Following the ceremony, Aamari will be buried in the cemetery of Azzano San Paolo. Carabinieri from Olginate are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash, utilizing surveillance footage from the industrial area.
