Lecco launches Manzoni festival and new museum exhibitions

The city of Lecco has launched its autumn museum season, headlined by the “Lecco Città dei Promessi Sposi” festival. The event focuses on the themes of war, justice, and liberty within the works of Alessandro Manzoni. Recent activities included guided tours of the historic village and Villa Manzoni, alongside academic discussions regarding the frequency of specific keywords in Manzoni’s literature.

In addition to the Manzoni festival, Lecco’s museums are hosting several new exhibitions. Palazzo delle Paure will feature a collection of over seventy works by Paolo Schiavocampo titled “Paolo Schiavocampo. Vedere lo spazio e misurare il vuoto,” running from October 9 to November 22. Torre Viscontea will host a photography exhibition of Moldova by Alessandro Grassani. The cultural program also includes musical performances, educational workshops, and the “Fuorifestival,” which offers book presentations and theatrical dinners through November 7.
