Lecco selected as pilot city for Italian public property valorization
Lecco has been designated as one of three pilot cities to test new government guidelines for the valorization of public real estate assets. The announcement took place during the “From heritage to the public value of territories” event held at Palazzo Chigi.
Lecco Mayor Filippo Boscagli participated as a speaker alongside the mayors of Montesilvano and Brindisi. The initiative, presented by Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti and other high-ranking officials, aims to provide local authorities with a framework to better utilize public property for educational, social, cultural, and tourism purposes.
In Lecco, the strategy involves analyzing the specific needs of various districts to identify underutilized resources, such as Villa Guzzi and Villa Ponchi, to support local development and employment.
