Lech Poznań clinches Super Cup and launches new Wonderkitz kit

Lech Poznań defeated Górnik Zabrze 3‑1 to claim the Polish Super Cup, securing the first trophy of the 2026‑27 season. The victory was highlighted by a strong team performance, with goals from Mikael Ishak and Pablo Rodríguez, and signaled a confident start ahead of the club’s Champions League qualifying campaign.

Former Polish football star Zbigniew Boniek criticised the absence of PZPN president Cezary Kulesza, who missed the match while attending FIFA events in the United States, describing the decision as “incomprehensible.”

In parallel, Lech unveiled its new 2026‑27 home and away kits, designed by the agency Wonderkitz. The shirts return to the classic vertical blue‑white stripes, incorporating historic symbols such as the city’s patron saints, the municipal goat, and the club’s founding year 1922.

Górnik’s midfielder Jarosław Kubicki suffered a broken hand with displacement, ruling him out for 8‑10 weeks.
