Lech Poznań bolsters squad and cashes in on transfers

Lech Poznań announced several high‑profile moves ahead of the new season. Goalkeeper Mateusz Lis, who spent eight years abroad in Turkey, France and the Turkish Super Lig, returned to the club on a free transfer, saying he always wanted to “stand in this goal” and will compete with incumbent Bartosz Mrożek for the starting spot.

The club also secured a record‑breaking fee for forward Kornel Lismann, reportedly €2.5 million plus bonuses, as the 20‑year‑old was sold to Italian side Venezia, which described him as the “Polish Kwaraccielli.” The money is expected to fund further signings and offset the €4 million outlay for former striker Luis Palma.

In addition, Lech completed the acquisition of 25‑year‑old Ghanaian centre‑back Terry Yegbe from French Ligue 2 side FC Metz on a four‑year contract. Yegbe featured in 24 games for Metz last season and will add size and experience to the defense.
