Lech Poznań defeats Slovak side FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova 3-1 in pre‑season friendly

Lech Poznań opened its pre‑season preparations with a 3‑1 win over Slovak club FK Zeleziarne Podbrezova at the club’s training ground in Wronki. The hosts dominated the first half and took the lead in the 23rd minute when 18‑year‑old Tymoteusz Gmur scored after a cross from Wojciech Mońka. Sammy Dudek added a second goal before halftime, and Pablo Rodríguez sealed the victory with a late strike in the 83rd minute. Podbrezova reduced the deficit in the 60th minute through Luka Silagadze, but the Polish side maintained control.

The win comes ahead of Lech’s upcoming fixtures, including a Polish Super Cup clash with Górnik Zabrze on 16 July and a Champions League qualifying match against Danish club Aarhus on 21 July. The match also highlighted several newly signed or promoted youngsters, such as Gmur, Dudek, and midfielder Mateusz Lis.
