Lech Poznań defender Joao Moutinho to undergo foot surgery

Lech Poznań defender Joao Moutinho will undergo surgery following a persistent foot injury. The Portuguese player suffered a lateral ligament tear near his big toe during a match against Wieczysta Kraków.

Moutinho has struggled to return to full training since the injury occurred, with several attempts to rejoin competitive play failing due to recurring pain. Following the club's official announcement, the player is scheduled for surgery and will require approximately three to four months of rehabilitation. He is expected to miss the remainder of the current year.
