Lech Poznań highlights youngster Hubert Janyszka while scouting midfield options

Lech Poznań reserve defender Hubert Janyszka, 17, drew praise from club star Luis Palma, who described his potential after a brief appearance against Legia Warszawa. The young left‑footed defender, standing over 190 cm, has become a regular in the reserve side and earned a contract extension through December 2028 following solid performances for both club and Poland’s U‑17 national team.

The club’s transfer agenda is also active. A proposed move for Tamár Svetlina fell through with Korona Kielce, prompting Lech to explore alternatives. Ukrainian midfielder Iwan Żelizko, who recorded seven goals and seven assists last season, is being monitored as a possible replacement. The estimated fee could reach up to €3 million, potentially ranking among the most significant signings in Lech’s history.
