Lech Poznan to face Sunderland in Europa League clash

Lech Poznan will host Sunderland at the Enea Stadium on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in a UEFA Europa League league phase match. The Polish champions enter the fixture seeking their first points and goals in the competition after suffering consecutive 0-4 defeats against Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen.

Sunderland arrives in Poland with a perfect record in the Europa League, having secured victories against AZ Alkmaar and Torreense. However, the English side faces a significant contrast in form, currently struggling at the bottom of the Premier League following four consecutive losses.

Both squads face availability issues. Lech Poznan is dealing with several injuries, including Alex Douglas, Ali Gholizadeh, and Wojciech Monka. Sunderland is also managing fitness concerns, notably regarding striker Brian Brobbey, alongside the absences of Wilson Isidor and Thomas Meunier.
