Lech Wałęsa confrontation at birthday event in Warsaw

A confrontation occurred at the National Museum in Warsaw during a conference celebrating the 83rd birthday of former Polish President Lech Wałęsa. The incident involved a reporter from the media outlet wPolsce24, who attempted to question Wałęsa regarding documents allegedly linking him to cooperation with the Security Service (SB) under the pseudonym ‘Bolka’.

The dispute began before Wałęsa entered the museum and escalated inside the venue. The reporter presented scans of documents to the former president, prompting a sharp verbal response from Wałęsa. As the reporter continued to press for answers despite a lack of consent, Bogdan Wałęsa, the former president's son, intervened by seizing and crumpling the documents. The reporter was eventually asked to leave the event by organizers, despite asserting his media accreditation.
