Leche para el Bienestar denies dairy producer debt claims in Chihuahua

Leche para el Bienestar has denied claims of payment arrears following a protest by dairy producers in the central-south region of Chihuahua. The institution stated it is up to date with payments to the social sector, having distributed 37,367,964 pesos for week 37.

Of this total, 22,889,582 pesos were allocated for the base price of milk, while 14,478,382 pesos were provided as subsidies. The organization called for transparency and accuracy in communicating payment information to avoid confusion among producers and the public. Additionally, the institution is working toward improving sector conditions by seeking better milk prices and incorporating new producers into the national registry.
