Leche para el Bienestar expands food program to all Mexican municipalities

Leche para el Bienestar and the National Institute for Federalism and Municipal Development (INAFED) have signed a collaboration agreement to expand the Social Supply Program to all 2,478 municipalities in Mexico.

The agreement aims to improve access to nutritious, high-quality dairy products and basic food items, particularly in communities facing food insecurity. By leveraging INAFED’s institutional links with local governments, the program will distribute information regarding benefits, requirements, and distribution points.

The partnership, which is valid until September 30, 2030, includes the creation of a Monitoring and Evaluation Committee to oversee annual work plans and ensure goals are met. This initiative is part of a territorial strategy promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to strengthen coordination between federal agencies and municipal governments.
