Lechia Gdańsk coach Władysław Łupaszko discusses war experiences and player transfers

Lechia Gdańsk coach Władysław Łupaszko has discussed both the personal impact of the war in Ukraine and the current squad situation at the Polish club.

Reflecting on his time coaching Karpaty Lviv, Łupaszko described the instability caused by air raid sirens, noting that matches were often delayed for hours and travel plans were constantly disrupted. He shared that no part of Ukraine is entirely safe, recounting an instance where a rocket flew within 200 meters of his home in Lviv.

Regarding club matters, Łupaszko addressed the status of player Rifet Kapič. Despite the Bosnian player's desire to leave following the club's relegation, he remains with Lechia Gdańsk for the time being. The coach stated that formal discussions regarding Kapič's future will take place once transfer windows in other markets have officially closed.
