Lechia Gdańsk secures first victory of the season

Lechia Gdańsk secured its first victory of the season in the Betclic 1. Liga, defeating Pogoń Siedlce 1-0. The decisive goal was scored in the 51st minute by Artur Szach during his home debut.

Lechia played the remainder of the match with a numerical advantage after Krystian Miś received a second yellow card in the 67th minute. The win moves Lechia up to 15th place in the league standings.

Before the match, the club and its supporters held a ceremony to honor the memory of former goalkeeper Mateusz Bąk, who passed away on August 2. The club officially retired his number 24, displayed a memorial banner, and observed a minute of silence.
