Lectron launches Nexus EV chargers as Mitsubishi details 2027 Eclipse Sportback charging architecture

Lectron has introduced the Nexus platform, a new family of wall‑mounted Level 2 residential electric‑vehicle chargers. The line includes four models that support both SAE J3400 (NACS) and J1772 connectors, offered in a 48‑amp hard‑wired version delivering up to 11.5 kW and a 40‑amp NEMA 14‑50 plug‑in version delivering up to 9.6 kW. The chargers are built to automotive‑grade standards, feature IP66‑rated enclosures, and carry UL 2594, UL 2231, UL 2251 and UL 817 certifications. Lectron tested the units for thermal cycling from –22 °F to 122 °F and for more than 10,000 connector insertions.

Mitsubishi Motors North America released technical details for the 2027 Eclipse Sportback electric vehicle. The subcompact BEV will use a 75 kWh liquid‑cooled lithium‑ion battery and a dual‑port charging system that separates AC and DC inputs. Direct‑current fast charging via an SAE NACS interface can reach up to 150 kW, enabling a 10 % to 80 % state‑of‑charge in roughly 35 minutes. Primary Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging uses a secondary SAE J1772 connector.

Separately, Tesla‑affiliated charging specialists in Las Vegas promote professional home‑charging installations. Their service includes a full electrical assessment, proper circuit sizing, grounding, and compliance with SAE J1772 standards. Installations can incorporate scheduled charging, remote monitoring and integration with smart‑home energy systems to optimise electricity use and support future expansion.
