Ledley King advises Tottenham captain Micky van de Ven

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ledley King has offered advice to Micky van de Ven following the Dutchman's appointment as club captain. King, who served as captain for seven years, praised manager Roberto De Zerbi's decision to appoint the 25-year-old, noting that Van de Ven leads by example and possesses a strong ability to recover defensively.

King suggested that Van de Ven's next developmental step is to become more vocal and focus on managing the group to get the best out of his teammates. He cautioned that a captain must maintain their standing with teammates to be effective.

Separately, Van de Ven sustained a wrist injury during a UEFA Nations League match between the Netherlands and Serbia. While the injury occurred after contact with Serbian striker Luka Jovic, reports indicate the issue is not serious, and the defender may be available for Tottenham's upcoming match against Manchester United.
