Lednica 30th Youth Meeting draws thousands of Polish participants

The 30th edition of the Lednica Youth Meeting took place on the fields of Lednica in Poland, attracting thousands of young Catholics. Participants included groups from the Archdiocese of Szczecin‑Kamień, volunteers from the Festival of Life, and missionaries of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Priest Piotr Gutsche described the atmosphere, saying, “Tyle pięknych rozmów, wzruszeń, tyle przemian serca i życia.” The event featured workshops, conferences, prayer sessions and the traditional evening crossing of the Gate of the Fish, symbolizing a personal commitment to Christ. Oblate missionaries, such as Fr. Artur Pawlak OMI and Fr. Adam Petelczyc OMI, held individual talks with young people about vocation and faith, while Fr. Dominik Ochlak OMI highlighted the strong interest and the role of the Festival of Life volunteers in guiding attendees.

The gathering was portrayed as a “work of God on an ordinary field,” emphasizing communal worship, evangelization, and the sharing of hope and spiritual growth among Poland’s youth.
