Leduc RCMP issues warning regarding door-to-door salespeople

The Leduc RCMP has issued a public warning following complaints from residents regarding door-to-door salespeople. Reported issues include the use of high-pressure tactics, persistent unwanted solicitations, and individuals refusing to leave premises after being asked to do so.

To protect themselves, the RCMP advises residents to always request company-issued photo identification and to verify credentials independently before engaging in transactions or donations. Authorities also recommend that citizens never feel pressured into immediate decisions, avoid paying cash upfront for services, and remember that they are under no obligation to open their doors to strangers.
