Lee and Nigel Cabourn OX’ed Silver announce collaborative denim collection
Lee and Nigel Cabourn OX’ed Silver are launching a special collaborative collection on September 12, 2026. The collection merges the history of the Lee ‘101’ brand, established in 1925, with the craftsmanship of Nigel Cabourn OX’ed Silver.
The collection features ‘BRURRY DENIM’, a fabric developed by Nigel Cabourn OX’ed Silver inspired by 1920s European underwear threads. The production utilizes three distinct dyeing techniques: hank dyeing using tannins from dried leaves, rope dyeing inspired by 1940s material shortages, and cheese dyeing derived from British Army green denim. Rather than simple vintage reproductions, the collection aims to recreate ‘vintage that could have existed’ based on historical contexts.
The lineup is divided into three series based on American occupations from the 1920s to the 1940s: ‘Railwayman 1925–1939’, ‘RanchWorker 1940–1944’, and ‘Clown 1943–1946’. The release includes six denim items, such as LOCO jackets and overalls, alongside four additional items including shirts and suspenders.
A special display representing the collection's world will be held at Nigel Cabourn OMOTESANDO from September 12 to September 18, featuring visual presentation directed by Yasuyuki Komaba.
