Lee Chang-dong's 'Possible Love' Invited to Toronto Film Festival
South Korean director Lee Chang‑dong returns after an eight‑year hiatus with his new Netflix original film *Possible Love*. The drama follows two couples – a laid‑off worker and his wife, and a documentary filmmaker and her husband – as they confront hidden desires and class differences. The cast includes leading Korean actors such as Sol Kyung‑gu, Jeon Do‑yeon, Jo In‑sung and Jo Ye‑jung.
Netflix announced that *Possible Love* has been officially selected for the Special Presentation section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, which will take place in September. TIFF executive Cameron Bailey praised the film for its intense exploration of marriage, class and cinema, noting Lee's powerful yet delicate artistic voice. The invitation places the film alongside past Korean entries like *Parasite* and *The Handmaiden* at one of the world’s four major festivals.
