Lee Chung-ah may withdraw from new drama following traffic accident

South Korean actress Lee Chung-ah is in discussions regarding her potential withdrawal from the upcoming drama ‘Obedient Killer’ due to health complications following a traffic accident. Her agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that the accident occurred while she was traveling for filming schedules last month.

Although Lee attempted to continue filming while receiving treatment, her pre-existing back condition has reportedly worsened. Because the production involves action sequences, the production staff and her agency are evaluating whether the physical demands are too great for her current state. Discussions are currently underway regarding her departure and the potential casting of a replacement.

This follows a previous injury Lee sustained in a traffic accident last August, which she noted had caused lingering pain in her hip, waist, and neck. ‘Obedient Killer’ is scheduled for release on TVING in 2027.
