A Shop for Killers Season 2 launches on Disney+ with new plot and cast

Disney+ released the second season of the Korean thriller ‘A Shop for Killers’ on 22 July. The series continues the story of Ji‑an (Kim Hye Jun), who now runs the underground arms shop “Murthehelp” after her uncle Jeong Jin‑man (Lee Dong Wook) is revealed to have faked his death. Together they confront the international mercenary organization Babylon.

The season debuted with a press conference in Seoul, where director Lee Kwon and the cast emphasized the theme of personal growth rather than simply expanding the action. Lee Dong Wook gained about 8 kg to restore his character’s imposing presence, and new actors from Japan, including Okada Sho and Hyun‑ri, joined the cast as members of Babylon’s East‑Asian division.

Episodes feature intensified gunfights, hand‑to‑hand combat and high‑tech weapons, with the narrative exploring Ji‑an’s evolution from a passive figure to a strategic leader. The series is promoted as one of Disney+’s biggest Korean originals, aiming to attract a global audience.
