Lee Jin Ho faces two-year prison request for gambling and drunk driving

Prosecutors have requested a two-year prison sentence for South Korean TV personality Lee Jin Ho following his indictment for illegal online gambling and drunk driving. During a sentencing hearing at the Suwon District Court Yeoju Branch on August 14, Lee admitted to all charges.

The drunk driving incident occurred on September 24 last year, when Lee drove approximately 100 km from Incheon to Yangpyeong. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.12% following analysis by the National Forensic Service. Additionally, Lee faces charges for placing multiple bets on illegal online gambling sites.

Lee appeared in court using crutches and experiencing mobility issues after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on April 1. The medical emergency left him with complications, including partial paralysis and difficulty speaking. His defense lawyer requested leniency, noting it was his first offense, while Lee expressed deep regret in a final statement to the court.
