Lee Jonghyun returns to social media after eight-year hiatus

Former CNBLUE member Lee Jonghyun has resurfaced on social media after an eight-year hiatus from public life. In a recent Instagram update, Lee shared details regarding his life following his departure from the entertainment industry.

Lee left CNBLUE in 2019 following controversies involving his participation in a group chat linked to singer Jung Joon Young, which involved the sharing of illegally filmed videos. He also faced scrutiny regarding inappropriate messages sent to a YouTuber. At the time, he expressed remorse for his actions and his role in causing misunderstandings for his former group members.

Since his departure, Lee has been working in the beauty marketing sector. He described his current routine as an ordinary office worker, involving meetings and product examinations. He noted the difficulty of maintaining a normal working life and expressed a desire to live as “the person Lee Jonghyun” while communicating more with others.
