Lee Jun-hyuk stars in new drama ‘Winning the Lottery and Going to Work’

Actor Lee Jun-hyuk is garnering attention for his diverse portrayals in various roles, particularly those involving suit-clad characters. His career highlights include playing prosecutor Seo Dong-jae in the ‘Secret Forest’ series, the romantic lead in ‘My Perfect Secretary’, and his latest role as Kong Eun-tae in the TVING original drama ‘Winning the Lottery and Going to Work’.

In ‘Winning the Lottery and Going to Work’, based on a web novel, Lee plays a young team leader who continues to work despite winning a 1.3 billion won lottery prize. Interestingly, the original novel's protagonist was modeled after Lee's appearance by the author years ago. The drama features several symbolic details, such as a convenience store clerk named ‘Jaksimcheon’ (a goddess of luck) and a statue of the Roman goddess Fortuna, emphasizing themes of fate and fortune. The lottery prize amount was adjusted from 1.8 billion won in the novel to 1.3 billion won in the series to better support the narrative premise that the protagonist must still maintain his job.
