Lee Jun-seok criticizes President Lee over ISA reform reversal
Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party, has criticized President Lee Jae-myung for ordering a re-examination of the Individual Savings Account (ISA) reform plan just four days after its announcement. Lee Jun-seok stated that the President's reaction, in which he questioned why the policy was not prepared accurately, made him appear as if he were criticizing his own administration as a third party. He argued that this behavior demonstrates a lack of leadership and fitness to head the organization.
Lee Jun-seok also directed criticism toward Presidential Policy Chief Kim Yong-beom, suggesting that the official failed to examine policies meticulously and previously exacerbated market instability by blaming individual investors for stock price declines. The Reform Party leader characterized the administration's approach to stock and tax policies as amateurish, noting a pattern of announcing policies only to reverse them shortly after.
