Lee Kang-in completes €40m move from PSG to Atletico Madrid
Paris Saint‑Germain and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of South Korean midfielder Lee Kang‑in. The deal is valued at roughly €40 million (about 700 billion won) and includes a contract with an annual salary reported around $6.5 million.
Lee, 25, played 124 matches for PSG, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists, but was used mainly as a rotation player. He was part of South Korea’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. The transfer follows his earlier moves from Valencia and Mallorca, and his previous transfer to PSG in 2023 for €22 million.
The move marks a return to La Liga for Lee, who began his professional career in Spain with Valencia’s youth system. Atletico Madrid will add the South Korean international to a squad that currently competes in the UEFA Champions League.
