Lee Miller exhibition to open at San Domenico Museum

The Museo Civico San Domenico in Forlì will host an exhibition titled ‘Lee Miller: Works 1930–1955’ from October 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027. Curated by Walter Guadagnini, the showcase will feature over 160 images from the Lee Miller Archives, including many previously unpublished works.

The exhibition traces the multifaceted career of the American photographer, spanning her time in Paris as an assistant to Man Ray, her involvement with the surrealist movement, and her work in fashion and portraiture. It also highlights her role as an accredited correspondent during World War II, where she documented bomb-damaged London and concentration camps while working for Vogue.

The collection aims to bridge Miller’s artistic experimentation, such as solarization, with her professional journalistic commissions, providing insight into her life across the United States, Europe, and Africa.
