Lee Sang-hee wins first Japan Golf Tour title at Sansan KBC Augusta

South Korean golfer Lee Sang-hee secured his first Japan Golf Tour (JGTO) victory at the Sansan KBC Augusta tournament held at Geya Golf Club in Fukuoka Prefecture. Finishing with a total score of 23-under 265, Lee overcame a one-stroke deficit entering the final round by recording a bogey-free 65, which included seven birdies. He finished three strokes ahead of runner-up Yusaku Hosono.

The win marks a significant milestone for the 34-year-old, ending a 13-year wait for a JGTO title despite having recorded eight runner-up finishes on the tour. It is also his fifth professional career win and his first since the 2017 GS Caltex Maekyung Open.

Lee dedicated the victory to his late father, who passed away in 2023, noting that he had promised to show him a championship trophy. He expressed his intention to maintain this momentum and pursue further victories in upcoming tournaments, including the Shinhan Donghae Open.
