Lee Zii Jia seeks injunction against family members over LZJ Management

Malaysian professional badminton player Lee Zii Jia has filed for an interim injunction at the Kuala Lumpur High Court to restrict the management and financial powers of his family members within his company, LZJ Management.

The legal application, filed on July 2, names his father, Lee Chee Hin, and his older sister, Lee Zii Yii, as respondents, alongside his younger brother, Lee Tao. Lee Zii Jia seeks to bar his father and sister from approving director fees, allowances, bonuses, or other financial benefits for themselves.

Furthermore, the shuttler is seeking to restrain unilateral decisions regarding the appointment or removal of directors, the selection of a company secretary, the disposal of assets, the issuance of new shares, and changes in shareholding structures. Lee Zii Jia claims to hold a 90% stake in LZJ Management, while his sister holds 9% and his brother holds 1%. He has also requested a court order to convene an extraordinary general meeting to address the company’s governance and management.
