Leeds Beckett Student Union Names New 2026/27 Officers, Honors Outgoing Reps

Leeds Beckett University’s Student Union introduced its new 2026/27 Officer team. Undergraduate Officer Grace Muzite, a recent graduate, and Postgraduate Officer Mifrah Mujeeb Khan Deshmukh will lead student representation, undertake training and attend conferences throughout the year.

The Union also celebrated the departing 2025/26 Rep team—Avery, Chak, Abigail and Molly—who were the first to serve under a new model that replaces full‑time elected officers with community‑organising roles. Their work included representing students on the University Board of Governors, addressing issues such as equality, diversity, widening participation, accessibility, and influencing decisions on timetabling, placements and the cost of studying.
