Leeds United faces injury crisis ahead of Brighton clash

Leeds United faces a significant defensive setback ahead of their Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium. Head coach Daniel Farke confirmed that center-back Joe Rodon is expected to be sidelined for eight to 10 weeks due to a serious hamstring injury.

Rodon joins Mateo Joseph, who is recovering from a knee injury, on the treatment table. In his absence, Leeds may look to new signing Nico Elvedi to start in the defense alongside Jaka Bijol and Tarik Muharemovic, or potentially utilize James Justin in a back three.

On a positive note, midfielder Ilia Gruev has returned to training and may be available for selection. The upcoming fixture also finds Brighton dealing with their own extensive injury list, including Mats Wieffer, Mitoma, Tzimas, and Evan Ferguson.
