Mykhailo Mudryk transfer talks stall between Chelsea and Leeds United

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is the subject of intense transfer speculation following his return to competitive football after a nearly two-year doping ban involving meldonium. Chelsea is seeking a loan deal to help the 25-year-old Ukrainian international regain match fitness and rhythm.

Leeds United has emerged as a primary interested party, with reports indicating that Mudryk personally prefers a move to West Yorkshire to remain in the Premier League. However, negotiations between the two clubs have faced significant hurdles. While some reports suggested a second bid was rejected, others indicate that Chelsea has ended talks with Leeds, citing a preference to loan the player to their sister club, Strasbourg, in France.

Chelsea’s sporting directors are reportedly looking for a straight season-long loan without a purchase option, potentially including penalty clauses if the player does not meet specific playing-time thresholds. Other clubs, including Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur, have also been linked to the winger.
