Leeds United pursue £30m Brazilian winger as Aston Villa shows interest

Leeds United are targeting Brazilian winger Igor Paixao, who currently plays for Marseille. The club is prepared to meet the player's £30 million valuation, but Marseille are willing to consider any offer due to financial pressures. Aston Villa have also entered the race, offering the prospect of Champions League football, which could diminish Leeds' chances of securing the 26‑year‑old.

Leeds have already added Harry Wilson and are in advanced discussions for several other players, including Czech midfielder Pavel Sulc, valued at around £21 million, as well as Shea Charles and defender Sebastiaan Bornauw. The club continues to shape its squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
