Leeds United sign Wales winger Harry Wilson on free transfer

Leeds United have reached an agreement to sign Wales international Harry Wilson after his contract with Fulham expires. The 29‑year‑old winger appeared in 36 Premier League games for Fulham last season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists, and earned 69 caps and 17 goals for Wales.

Leeds pursued Wilson throughout the summer, fending off interest from clubs such as Everton and Aston Villa, and also explored a deal for former Dortmund attacker Julian Brandt before finalising the free‑transfer move. The club’s sources say the signing was secured without any transfer fee, marking a significant boost to their attacking options. Former Fulham head coach Marco Silva was quoted as saying the club must “do the maximum to keep” Wilson, underscoring the player’s value.

Wilson, a product of Liverpool’s academy who spent 16 years at the club before moving to Fulham in 2022, is expected to fit into manager Daniel Farke’s tactical setup, potentially operating as an inverted midfielder in a 3‑4‑2‑1 formation.
