Leeds United targets Michael Zetterer and Igor Paixão in transfer activity

Leeds United is involved in two significant transfer developments as the window approaches its deadline. The club is currently in negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt for goalkeeper Michael Zetterer. After initially showing hesitation about joining as a backup, Zetterer has reportedly had a “change of heart” following a visit to Leeds and is expected to make a decision within 48 hours. Leeds has improved its offer for the 31-year-old, whose transfer fee is estimated at approximately £4.3 million.

Simultaneously, Leeds faces competition for Brazilian winger Igor Paixão. Sunderland has reportedly reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with the 26-year-old, who currently plays for Olympique de Marseille. While Marseille has rejected initial proposals, negotiations between the French club and Sunderland remain active. Paixão, who recorded 12 goals and 6 assists during the previous season, remains a primary target for Leeds, though they now risk losing him to a divisional rival.
