Leela Gray launches campaign against Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

Retired Army Brigadier General Leela Gray, the Democratic nominee for Florida’s 13th Congressional District, has launched her first general election advertisement targeting incumbent Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna. The campaign ad accuses Luna of corruption, alleging she has enriched herself through donors and shared insider information regarding prediction markets. Gray also criticizes Luna’s voting record on tax breaks and her perceived absence from the district.

In a separate interview, Gray discussed her platform, which includes addressing the risks of artificial intelligence. Drawing on her background as a cybersecurity advisor, she advocated for government-led guardrails for AI, transparency standards, and a universal ‘kill switch’ for rogue systems to protect national security and consumer safety. She also expressed concerns regarding the military’s increasing reliance on automated AI for weapons targeting.
